Slack
Down, reminder, and recovery in one Slack channel. Basic and Pro.
Connect Slack
- Open Account and choose Connect Slack.
- Pick the Slack workspace and channel Gonewatch should post to.
- After you authorize, we post a test message to that channel. Account shows the connected channel (for example
#alerts). - Edit each monitor and enable Slack. Only those monitors will post there. Connecting does not turn it on for existing monitors.
One Slack workspace and channel per Gonewatch account. Reconnect if you need a different channel.
What gets posted
The same Down, still-Down reminders, and recovery events as email. On Basic and Pro, reminders post again if the monitor stays Down.
Disconnect
Disconnect on Account removes Slack from every monitor. Email is turned back on for those monitors if it was the only remaining destination. You can connect again later and re-enable per monitor. If you remove the Gonewatch app from Slack, the connection is cleared here as well.
One channel per account
Reconnect when you need a different workspace or channel. Gonewatch posts to one Slack destination at a time.
